Looking to sell my 3 month old Mitsubishi 60" RPTV, local AZ pickup only. Asking $1500. I may be able to trade it in at Ultimate Electronics, but I will find out this Thursday. I'm looking to get a HDTV.

    I did not want that huge 60" anyway. I am very happy with my 25" - ya it is a flat screen and stuff.LOL :lol:

    Scott - any updates on the PC+ delivery date?

    In the interim, go through the room and put foam tape behind every picture and wall fixture in the room or it will be buzz city.

    Dr. - No update yet, he said it would be about 2 weeks before it ships, so I would guess maybe by the end of next week I hope, but you know how this stuff works, when you want something real bad you never get it quick :(

    Just some foam tape on the back of the pictures? Or does it have to be all over the place on the pics? There's so much stuff in the house right now I doubt I will be able to contro it :)

    i had to wait a month to get my mits i got the ws-65819 i dident feel like paying for a hd tuner when you can olny get 3 chanels plus it is very expencive

    I just used that automotive grade stuff for truck caps (purchase at any auto parts store) with adhesive on one side.

    I just went around hitting the walls (not too hard) near the stuff and seeing if it rattled or buzzed. Then lay a few pieces at the corners, etc. - use your judgement.

    Also, if you are on a hard floor, make sure to supplement the PC+ baseplate with that stuff too. It's so GD powerful it can move itself around on a smooth floor! This can be noisy and disconcerting to say the least.

    Question: You are on an absolute tear selling practically new and very expensive equipment (PSW650 sub and 60" Mitsu RPTV within two weeks) - what's the deal - severe case of upgraditis?

    Thanks for the hints Doc on where to place the tape etc.

    As for my recent buying and selling of stuff, you're pretty much rihgt about the upgraditis. I LOVED the Mits 60", but it wouldn't work with my BRAND new Denon DVD 2800, which had progressive scan output. I really wanted to utilize the progressive, so I had to go and get a HDTV set, and hence the sale of the 60" RPTV. The Polk PSW650 was almost the same way. I got it for one reason, I needed a sub, and I got a smoking deal through a friend that worked at Fry's, plus I needed to use some store credit at the store, hence buying the PSW650. I told myself before I bought it that if I wasn't 100% satisfied with it I would sell it and get an SVS. Hence the sale of the PSW650, I liked it a lot, it just seemed to be missing something for me, probably not low enough and not powerful enough for me. I KNOW I won't sell the SVS because I heard the 20-39 PCi and was astonished by the power it had, the PC+ will be even better I'm sure.

    I'm a little wierd about this stuff, I want the best, so I do whatever it takes to get it :) Like buy and sell things real fast if I don't like them. I love the HDTV Mits I have now, so I will be keeping it, but the Denon DVD 2800 is going back to the store, I'm not happy with that player at all, the chroma bug upsets me and there seems to be some issue with playing CD's, it skips on a lot of them, so oh well, Bye Bye 2800. I may try the Pioneer Elite DV45a and see if it's any better, if it's not, I don't know what I will do.

    Orange Peel, I am very surprised with the DVD2800 not working with your TV. :confused:
    You want the best progressive scan then the DVD2800 IS one of the best out there. I have had mine for over ayear now and it is flawless. The earlyer ones had problems and then they upgraded the firmware. Mine has the newer firmware and there is absolutly no chromo bug and it plays EVERYTHING i throw at it. Even out of region DVD's. Just thought I would throw that out there for ya. ;)

    Thanks Scott, I went and exchanged it for the Denon DVD 1600, no chroma bug and seems to work perfectly, haven't had one issue with it yet.

    I liked the 2800, but the few things that I had wrong with it was enough for me to exchange it, oh well, atleast I still have a Denon :)

    Ya, that site was what made me get the DVD2800. It was part of my research when I was in the market for a high end progressive player. Very detailed with tons of information. Most other players that scored off the charts were in the $2000 and up range.
