Watched a movie called Infection last night. Part of the J-Horror genre. Easily the best fright film I've seen in a long time. If anyone here is a fan of the Silent Hill games, this is about as close to capturing the mood and atmosphere of that series as you're going to get. Much moreso than the actual Silent Hill movie.
Basically, the premise of the movie involves a single night in an understaffed and dilapitated hospital in Japan. Both doctors and nurses struggle to provide adequate medical care for the patients -- all of whom have their own creepy eccentrities. After introducing the characters, a mysterious "virus" breaks out that causes both extreme dementia and eventual bodily decay.
The genius of the movies is its spin on what's real and what's not.... which kind of induces a viewer dementia. As the both doctors and nurses struggle to both study and avoid this mysterious illness, some become infected.
For the record, this is not a zombie movie. Or anything like 28 Days Later. It really is a unique entry in the genre that is difficult to classify. Like I mentioned previously, the best comparison I can make is to that of the Silent Hill games -- both visually and in spirit.
Of course, it's in subtitles, but dubs suck ****.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

As much as I would like to Karma out my own personal "infection", I don't believe I could do so in good conscience.I never had it like this where I grew up.
