Are MW6501s a replacement for MW6500s?

Hi,

I have an old set of Monitor 5's made around 1980 as far as I can tell. The drivers all work fine, but the mid's have had their dustcaps poked in. I have a line on some new in box MW6501s and was wondering if they are interchangeable with the MW6500s that are in my speakers.
