Boat Speakers
I have an Avanti cruiser with a pair of old Bose 151 mounted on the stern facing aft and a pair of 6 inch Kickers intalled on the flybridge. They are powered by a Kenwood head and an auxillary 100 watt per chanel 12 volt amplifier. Sound great with classic rock played at modest volume with the base drive off. With base on at higher volume or with hip hop they just do not cut it. We push them pretty hard at times mixing in a yamaha d55 drum set and microphones and do karaoke fed from a laptop.
What is the best way to improve base response. Larger Bose outdoor speakers? Another Brand? I am pretty sure people are going to say add sub woofer but I do not have the room.
Some times we set up a Fender Passport PA but that is pain in the neck because I have to run the erator. Any suggestions on how to improve my sound at high volume
