Polk RM6750 help
Hi,
I'm no audio expert. So please bear my ignorance!
I'm Planning to get 6750. Wrt to accessories i could not find much info in the manuals/specs.
Should i purchase wire seperately? If so what kind of those should i go for??
And also does the sub needs to be powered up seperately???
Some guidance will be very much appretiated!

Hello,
Thanks for posting on the Forum. You will need sufficient speaker wire to run from the receiver to each of the five speakers (four satellites and the center channel). If each connection length is less than 25' you can use either #18 or #16 gauge speaker wire, #16 gauge is thicker, more conductive than #18. The connections to the sub-woofer can either be done with a right and left speaker wire or with a shielded co-axial connection cable. While good results can be had with either method, using a right and left speaker wire connection, to the sub-woofer, requires less changes to the receiver's setup menu. Look at your receiver's owner's manual and see if you feel confident about changing the sub-out low pass filter setting. If not, follow the instruction given in the RM6750's owner's manual and run a right and left speaker wire from the front speaker connections, on the receiver, to the corresponding right and left speaker level connections on the sub-woofer. This method gives great results and doesn't involve changing the receiver's sub-out low pass filter setting.
Yes, the sub-woofer will need to have an AC electrical connection.

Thank you so much Kenneth! That was pretty vivid explanation!
