Driver upgrade eval

If you are skeptical about doing a driver upgrade on the Monitor series, as I was, don't be. Because I had a busted mid, I replaced those (6502) and replaced the SL2000 with the RD0s (per engtaz and H9's persistent suggestions). Both are very easy drop ins even for one who has never done this (like me). The mid's connectors are not marked (not sure it matters, though the old ones had the red dots). But I must have done it right because the speakers sound excellent. At first I thought they were a little busy, then I realized I was just getting a lot more detail. This morning, I am hearing lyrics better than I ever have.....unfortunately, some went like this, "I am digging my grave with my own hands." I know a lot of forum members have done this, but this is encouragement for those of us who flunked shop class.

This post reminded me...I need to get my RD0's ordered today for my 1C's and just be done with it.
Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.

You slay me, Mike. LOL Congrats on the updates. The RDO's sound silky smooth compare to the SL2000's IMHO. It will get even better throughout the break in period.

I love how music can brighten up a bad day.

I guess I should think of them (RD0s) for my 10Bs, but they have SL1000 and that apparently requires the use of a Dremel...not sure if my wife will let me use it since its hers....
