R50's 299 at futureshop?
I was looking at the RTi10's for my hom etheatre with a PSW505 sub. But R50 floor standing speakers are on sale for 299 CDN a pair compared to 1350CDN for the RTi10's. Dude at Future shop said I would have tpo turn down the sub drastically to keep it from overpowering the RTi10's a sthey have Two 7" inch subs in them to begin with. So....I still want the Rti10's with the PSW505...someone tell me Im right and not to buy the R50's or someone tell me this is a good set up. Csi5 will be centre channel and undecided on surrounds.HELP!

I'm no expert but I would say if you have the cash for the RTi 10's That is what I would get or you may like the RTi 8's with a decent sub. Both the 8s and 10s go on sale from time to time at Future Shop you just have to be patient. The Csi 5 is a great center channel. If you give a little more detail of what kind of set up you are looking for like how much you will use it for movies vs music you may get some responses from some of the more knowledgable members. You could also try using the search feature to see what has been said about the different speakers in past threads.Polk RTi 8's

My vote goes for the 10's as well. In Canada you're stuck with higher polk pricing but they definitely go lower than 1350 so if you can stick it out I'd highly recommend waiting and keeping an eye on futureshop / best buy / visions fliers & websites.
Any chance you want to work for futureshop for three months? You could get a hell of a deal on polks doing that (over half that) -
Thanx....I think I'll make do until the Rti10's go on sale. They will mostly be used for movies. I need something small for the rears as i dont have much room behind the couch and the will actually have to be beside on eitherside at about ear level, facing the viewer. Energy was sugested as they make a mini, but dont know anythink about them. woulld like to stay with all polk if possible

For your rears it would be better to hang them three or four feet above ear level if possible. It would help with the sound and to get them out of your way. When I had an HT setup (before I ditched it for two channel) my rears faced each other and were on the side walls. It sounded better that way than when they were on the back walls pointing towards the screen.
