Hi-Fi Buys Summer Nationals

Hi-Fi Buys sponsored a pretty big show in Nashville last Sunday that I went to. Had a really good time and got to listen to a lot of great systems.

Had the largest SQ turnout Ive been to yet! The highest score got $500 cash, 2nd highest got $300 and 3rd got $200.

Lots of cool cars there too. Had a Porche Cayenne with a very nice stock install. A great looking Dodge Magnum with a freaking awesome install! Team Zapco showed up and as you can imagine their systems werent too shabby either.

I placed 2nd in my class but I quite proud of it! My average score was 80 (big shows use 3 judges and your score is the average of all 3 scores) with the 2 time defending world champion scoring an 82!

One of the guys from Team Zapco took a bunch of pictures and I stole some off his site!

Here is the Dodge Magnum going thru his Install judging where he got a whopping 94 out of 100!!!







This is Keith Turner from Car Audio and Electronics magazine. He was one of the judges. They had a video game set up where you sit in a car and play from the 42" LCD screen in front of you.





This was the sub box for the Porsche.



This piece was in the back of an Accord and was motorized. It housed the EQ.



This car had like 25 or more speakers in it!







This is me sitting with the 2 time defending world champion that is always beating me. Im trying to figure out how to sneak into his car and yank out some wires without him seeing me.

Zapco amps and processor, Fi subs and he was using Seas speakers but Im not sure what he's using now. Plus he's an unreal tuner! He's got an Acura which uses the same speaker locations as mine but his sounds stupid good! He's been judging a lot of shows lately so he's not put as much time into his tuning but once he does towards the end of the season he'll run off and leave me pretty quick.
