Speaker wire, which side is positive/negative?

i have speaker wire with one side with a stripe, the other not. which side is the standard for negative or positive? Thanks

    It doesn't matter, just wire all your speakers the same.

    The trick is to always be consistant.
    I always use the stripe side as my positive.

    But as russ said, doesn't matter what you use for + or - as long as you are always consistant.

    What they said. I always hook up the white stripe, or the side with lettering or other marking, to the red post.
