Hello everyone. I need some help. I have a kenwood kac-8103D mono amp pushing 500 watts rms at 2 ohms. I got a good buy on a polk db104dvc. Needless to say it didn't last very long. I believe the sub was rated at 270 watts continious. Would running two subs instead of one handle this power. I want to stay with 10 inch. I understand that I will need 2 4 ohm single voice coil subs wired in paralel to get to the 2 ohm load. Does the power handling of the subs doulble when wired together. thanks

No. A pair of 270 watt subs will still be 270 watt subs regardless how theyre wired up.
But a pair of 270 watt 4 ohm SVC subs would be just about a perfect match for that amp.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
