A "must have" piece of vinyl...

I opened up a new copy of "More Dirty Dancing" last night which is a supplemental soundtrack to that movie. It is full of older recordings which have been preserved/restored (probably remastered).

I was totally amazed by how much I enjoyed the recording. Each song sounded as if the system was set up differently for it. For example, imagine listening to a CD of a Victrola recording. Yea, old stuff, who gives a rats a$$. However, listen to the real 78 version on a real Victrola and you will walk away in heaven. This is just an example because the music on this LP is mostly from the 50's and 60's (not old Victrola stuff) but it places you in the era listening on the proper equipment, assuming you have a decent system. It is mixed SO well! I recommend giving it a spin.

The original "Dirty Dancing" LP is just so so, nothing special.
