I want to make some stereo subs...

Basically Brian is successfully - pretty much giving me "free" parts to build my own subs...

Before it is over, I will have two 15" PRs and probally two 15" actives ----

So with this in mind...

What kind of sub can I make with this...

20"H x 26"W x 17"D - those are the dimensions of the VMPS Original Sub that uses the same config...

I guess I could recreate those if I wanted to - wouldnt be hard and I could build them better.

Slot load the PR -- but that can kind of give you an idea as far as cabinet volume and so forth...

Perhaps if someone can cook up something that rolls off around 30hz... I'd dig that...

Perhaps I can make a huge low frequency subwoofer??

tune it REALLY low -- make it like a gazillion feet tall?

    Throw me some ideas! :)

That would obviously be for HT...

I need specs for the active driver and pr, you can't determine much until you have that. Overall Q and Vas are very important if you want it to sound right.

If it is strictly for music and not HT then I would go with a low Q sealed design.

didn't you just get a ML Depth?

Isn't that like having a Ferrari in the garage and then talking about building a franken-car because you came across some free tires and engine parts?

Enjoy the depth! Forget about the DIY.

Why would they use a box? I thought one advantage is that dipoles dont need an enclosure, just a baffle. Also seems kinda a waste too since you could do the samething with 1 18" rather than all of those smaller drivers.
