Bandpass or Sealed Enclosure?????

Hello.. heres the setup of my car...
Alpine CDA 7894 Headunit
2 Rockford 500.2 Amps ---- 500 Watts @ 4 Ohmns
2 Polk Momo 10'' Subs ---- Each sub gets 500 watts @ 4 Ohmns
1 Sealed Box
I was wondering if switching over to a Bandpass box would greatly increase the sound coming from the subs?? Is it worth my money to switch?

IMO...to get a Bandpass right and sound good..is not worth the money or the trouble. It will be louder at what freq you tune it at and sound like junk the rest off the time. If you want louder...look at a ported/vented box. With this you can increase your spl..but maintain some SQ. Food for thought (not a fan of bandpass boxes at all)

from what i understand theres kind of an equation with momos...
ported box+momo subs=blown subs
maybe im wrong...

My only issue with band pass sub enclosures is just that.. they really only pass/accent the tunned freq. For spl this may be great- though I never thought of MOMO as an SPL sub... I would expect better results from a vented box tuned to 29hz with the use of a subsonic filter...otherwise you just have a JL sub..a one note wonder...

JL sucks, JL sucks, JL sucks, JL sucks... amen.
Ladies and gentlemen we are gathered here today to celebrate the fact that on this day... many many moons ago, it was determinted that JL sucks.
the end.
go in peace to do anything but buy a W7.
I'd rather run 20 RoadGear Walmart 6x9's off a Jensen amp than a W7 ...The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
