Which was the cooler car?

For me, no question the Ferrari.

Take me back further to the Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer. That came before the Testarossa. We're talking late 70s when the Countach first came out. Those were some classics.
Always been a Ferrari fan though. Never could get into the looks of the Countach. Too angular, not swoopy enough. I like my cars like my women, with curves, not hard edges!
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I'm sorry but the Testarossa isn't vintage....................I would take a Countach or even my friend's Pantera over the Testarossa for vintage fun.

Out of production for over 10 years...in the world of supercars, I'd call that vintage.

I bought my first issue of Car and Driver because they had a Countach on the front. I remember them comparing the $4k cost of the rear wing with the cost of a new Yugo. Man I wanted one of them when I was a kid......

Countach. I touched the window of one of those when I was 17. The salesman asked me if I wanted a ride I was too chicken to accept.

Tough call. I'm a Ferrari fan but the LP5000 was a hell of a car.
My top vintage choice is the 288 GTO Ferrari.

My friend had a Delorean for a few years.. nice car... but it sucked.. always breaking down. he lost about $4000 on the deal when he sold it.

Lamborghini Countach (1974-1990) or Ferrari Testarossa (1984-1996)? I think I'd take the Ferrari because I'd want to drive the car and the Countach is widely known as a beastly handling car, difficult to drive and abusive in its ride. The Ferrari on the other hand is a much better driver comparably and I think I would go with the F512M version which is essentially a street car based on the F512S race car from 1974.

However, if I honestly want to go with a car from that "era", I'd take the Vector W8:

    800px-VectorW8.jpg

This car reached 242 MPH at least 4 years before the McLaren F1 reach 240.14 MPH and it's prototype was hitting 200+ MPH in test in 1980. The current Bugatti Veyron has only been 11 MPH faster than a car that was originally designed in 1979-1980. Yeah, Lamborghini looks with Ferrari performance, I'd take the Vector.

Forgot a bout the vector. My 2nd choice after an lp5000s. I's still take a Vector with it's 6 liter dodge power plant.
