I was thinking of upgading my Rti4's to LSi9's. I just wanted to get some opinions on the Lsi9 vs Lsi7. I'd also would like to upgrade my sub which is currently a psw10. So if anyone has any suggestions on a sub that would match well with the LSi's I'd love to hear.
Thanks for any input.

Hey! Has Anyone Compared The Rti 12 Vs The Lsi's Wondering What Was The Difference Is, You Know Im Only Pushing Rti-12 With The Yamaha Rxv25oo 5 Surround Maybe At 140ch 25%, Also Guys I Had A Question I Want To Push My Rti's At Least With 100more Watts Plus My Sub Too.. Its Velodyne 10' 385watts, How?? And What?? Amp Should I Buy For 100watts, How Do I Install It, The Rti's Are Bi-amped And Im Not Really Sure What That Means..
Also My Sub Question? My Velodyne Dsp10 Sub Is 385watts Digital, Do I Add That Additional Wattage When I Add An Amp Or Reciever Totaled Or Does The 385w Power Onlycome From The Rms Amp From The Sub?? Not Sure How To Calculate The Power Wattage When Adding Power Or Recievers Confused!! Bobbyfresco Boys! Keep Rockking..thanks Guys Ill Be Online On And Off, So Holla At Me.. -

I don't know much, but I'm having a really tough time understanding what you're asking here. It might help others in this forum give you some assistance if you could be more clear with your questions."Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger -
BOBBYFRESCO,
Slow down. Reading your post got me hyper. Space out your questions, don't run them together.engtaz

My post has officially been hijacked. -
BobbyFresco, I have no idea what language you are speaking. or what you are trying to get at.
In general the Yammy isn't putting anywhere near 140 watts/channel even at 100%. Both the larger RTi's and LSi's prefer high quality amplification to sound their best and this will most likely come from a seperate stand alone amplifier.
Bottomline; if you're going to keep the receiver then don't bother with LSi's it's a waste of money for your particular situation.
As far as the sub I have no idea what you are trying to say .

As nice as the RTi series is the LSi's are much better for music. If you are going to be keeping a sub of some sort then get the LSi 7's. I had the 9's and felt a sub was not necessary. But I'm a 2 ch guy so perhaps for greater impact in an HT set up a sub is necessary.
SVS is a popular sub around here and I have heard some nice Velodyne's as well.

Thanks heiney,
Yeah, I was thinking of keeping some sort of sub. I'm into movies and think that a sub would do my setup good. -
My stacked Polk subs make a very loud thump thump, I am in the midst of putting together a 1000watts of polk subs in a floor. I suspect they will thump thump a bit louder than my stacked psw 450's, I have heard the SVS sub and it goes thump thump too.
I do not really like to pick on brands but I really think my Polk subs sound nice with music when I choose to use them, which is not all that often.
