I see alot of them on sale lately and I've read the Carver is like a god to audiophiles. Are these noteworthy?

    I've been very pleased with the results on both occasions that I tried a tube pre- with a carver amp. I highly recommend it.

    That is one hell of an amp, I have a few Carver amps, none near as powerful as that....There are a few people on here that have messed with the TFM series, I think Snow has a couple of TFM's....You might want to PM him for a little more in depth info...

    Isn't that kind of light(weight wise) for a amp that puts out that much power?

    My brother has an ELP and A TFM 45 to 2.3tl's,,he seems to like it.
    JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

    They are light because rather than a big transformer they use what is almost like a switching supply. I had a 1600 watt pro carver amp that weighed 14 pounds. It could kick some A$$ too. :)

    I have had TFM for 1 1/2 years with no problem. I like the sound. I am currently using it to power my sub's. I have used it on my Mangnepan MG1's and like the sound very much.
    :eek: From the bottom it looks like a steep incline, From the top another down hill slope of mine.:mad: But I know the equilibrium's there!:cool: .."Faith No More" :D
