I have a slightly use Omni Fi (DSM1)digital Music server that worked great over my wireless net work.

I have all the software,Manuals and Original Packaging.

This unit has not scratches, dings or any other imperfections. only reason for selling it is I now have a iPod and docking station that my wife bought me for Christmas.

I would rate this item a Solid 9/10 due to it being used but it looks and functions 10/10

Price is $65 (OBO) + the Ride.

    These are a pretty cool piece. I rep'd them when Rockford was the parent company. I still use the OmniFi mobile piece with the 40gb hard drive and it works like a champ and I have the home piece as well. If you have music on your PC and want to get it to your new (or vintage) audio system, this piece can do it via ethernet cable or wirelessly. You have the display on the front of the unit itself plus it has a composite video output. This is a great price for this unit.

    Just my $.02. If I didn't already have one....

    So, does it get all the music from a specific folder and then I browse through that?

    It has its own software and once installed, will search for music on your PC and log it there. Similar to what any player does I guess. I do know its easy to hook up and integrate.

    Honestly, I don't know. I have it on my desktop running XP. I doubt they ever did driver updates for Vista.

    One cool thing is if you can find the car unit OmniFi and you have a wireless network at home, you can set it so it sends new music it in the middle of the night. The car unit has it's own separate hard drive and can be updated via USB (faster for bigger files) or wireless 802.11 for maybe a few albums at night. It's pretty cool as I hate doing all that update stuff...another reason I don't own an iPod. I just don't have the time to go thru all that stuff. This setup works for me very well.
