My broken tv

Well about a month ago I told everyone about my broken tv,well I asked two different repair men & they told me it would cost between 300-400.00 $ to fix it. The tv is about 6 yrs old is it worth fixing? thanks happy 4 th!!
My HT set-up Panasonic front proj, 120 in ws screen, ATI amp,Integra 9.8 pre-pro, 2 Polk rti150, cp 1000, 4 fx 1000, Pioneer blu-ray 2 SVS sub pb 12-ultra 2, & Paragon popcorn popper. ps 3 Coaster leather HT recliners.

    I think that would depend on how much you have to spend on a new one if you went that route....There are a lot of deals floating around out there on new TVs, DLP or LCD....Where in Kentucky are you?

    I paid about 3000.00 for it,Im in the Mammoth Cave area. The bad thing is all the repair men want me to bring the tv to them!! its weight is 450 lbs! thanks

    Damn, what the hell is it? That's a lot of weight to huff down to a repair guy....They had a great deal on a lot of 720p TVs at CC and BB...About in the $1000 range for a 50".....

    Its a 65 in crt rear projection.

    Well,tack on another 150 bucks for a service call fee if you want them to come to you.Thats tweeter's going rate anyway.

    you can get a 60 inch new for around 1000 bucks

    so replace new for 600 more or go new style for about 2000

    i would replace it, while youre at it, give front projection a thought also. May as well go bigger while opportunity knocks brother. You wont regret it.

    Thanks everyone, I have a front proj in my ht, I just need to do someting about the tv in the living room! I guess Ill have to take it to the dump & get a new one.

    try and sell it even broken you might get a couple hundred buck since you know whats wrong with it and how much to fix

    Yeah, sell it as-is on Craiglist for a couple hundred, then go get yourself a nice LCD, DLP, Plasma, or whatever else will fit best. You can get a lot of TV for $1000 now. Vizio has 42" Plasmas for around that much, or a lot of DLPs, or some LCDs.
