Right now I have my Onkyo (100w) going to the top of my rti12's and my Onkyo avr going to the bottom (135w). The tops sound great. The bottoms can only be hard when I really turn it up, 135W is not enough. I have 2 outlaw monoblocks coming now for the bottom to drive them at 200W. Everyone around here have always said that you need power for RTI12's and I believe them now.Testing

Have you tried turning up the levels in the AVR for the bottom to match the top alittle closer? That is if you have a seperate level control for the bottomCasey

You cant add anymore power to your sub because it has an amp built in. How are your 12's bi-amped if you dont know what that means. Bi-amped is 2 pairs of speaker wire going to each speaker and coming from 2 pos. and 2 neg. terminals on your amp or receiver (meaning 4 channels are used up on them). If you want more watts for your RTi's I suggest you get a seperate amp with at least 200 watts per chan. at 8ohms.58" Samsung Plasma (on wall)(calibrated)

Apparently 500 watts is right about the sweet spot for powering the bottom end of the rti12s. Im using a behringer ep2500, and I can go full-bore with it with minimal concern (cutoff filters enabled).Sharp Aquos 32d62u
