The Police in New Orleans

I had the privilege of seeing The Police this past weekend at the New Orleans Arena and wow, what a concert. I'm in my early 30's and The Police were quite influential in my early listening years. I distinctly remember Wrapped Around Your Finger being the first video I ever saw on MTV. Never really thought Id get the chance to see the original group back together until my fiancé surprised me with tickets.
After the concert it almost seemed surreal kind of like I had experienced the music all over again like a kid, but with Sting smiling and playing that old Fender Bass right there in front of my eyes. I was blown away with the music and how the band enjoyed playing the songs so much after all these years. The crowd seemed to share the same feeling with roars of enthusiasm often during the songs. Personally I could not have imagined any other performance being more enjoyable or sentimental.

Absolutely awesome! I'm 40 this year and I got into The Police in 1978 when Walking On The Moon was released. Since that day, they have been my favourite band of all time. I'll be waiting for the Oz concert - I think in 2008 sometime.
