Ratatouille

I watched this yesterday morning and was pretty impressed. Not a lot to say about it but it was another great animation. This little rat is so full of energy that it keeps you hooked. I liked the match of the two characters (rat and chef that doesn't know how to cook) and how they worked together but really developed into different people.

Being an animation the main audience is younger children but I didn't get that usual "I'm stuck watching a kids movie". With a decent plot, good morals and some humor it really was a movie that can appeal to all ages.

Probably worth a trip to the theater with the kids for this one.

To me it was a little slow moving of a movie. Times during the movie, the kids and the adults were moving around in their seats a little bored. Good movie but too many dull sections to be a great movie. I was there with 5 kids (elementary school age) and 4 adults.

I went and saw this on Saturday with my daughter (5) and one of her little buddies. I really enjoyed the movie, but my daughter's friend was squirming and asking to leave after about a 1/2 an hour and my daughter made it about an hour. I wouldn't recommend this for the real little ones, say 6 and under. I loved the fact that cooking played a major role in the movie, but typical kids don't care about the role of the soux chef or the impact of a food critic in a gourmet restaurant.

I would save this one for a rental if you're planning on taking the little ones.

I saw it with my wife and the 7 and 4 year old. The 4 year old started squirming but she couldnt stop talking about it. The 7 year old loved it.
Me and my wife absolutly loved the movie. I cant wait to get it at home. I friggen love the part they got zapped by the lightning.

PIXAR Rules!!! I bought stock back in the Toy Story days. I know this studio was revolutionary. This is the highest reviewed movie of the year. I have seen about half hour of footage already with all the promotions. Watched Nemo in HD last week. I will buy it on Blu-Ray along with all the others. Cars is the first to come.

As a parent of twin 6 year olds I have had the opportunity to see a lot of "children" movies lately. Although many of the children movies are pretty good (who wouldn't like Monsters or Toy Story?) I thought this movie was the most "adult" of them all (not in terms of sex or violence, but in terms of plot and character development). Although my kids said they liked the movie they did not seem to enjoy it as much as some of the others. So it gets a thumbs up from me, but perhaps a neutral from my kids.

That is what many of the reviews said, more adult based.

We went to watch it tonight, it was on the new Digital Projection cinema. Awesome graphics and sound. If this is the way of the future, boy, I am looking forward to see more of this!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

No brainer, a must buy on Blu-Ray.
