Rotel and Carver CDP

I have a Rotel (RCC940) and a Carver (SD/A-360) 5 disc changer, both built in 1993. And both in Japan. Someone posted on here once that Carver did not make a lot of their CDP. I am guessing that Rotel might have done some of the work....or a 3rd party made components that they both used. Take a look at the pics. I am sure that 5 disc CD changers have to have some of the same geometrics, but take a look at the backsides and see how all the screws and connection points are the same. Also, the remotes are virtually the same with some difference in key placement. I don't know that it means much, but I thought it interesting. (Of course, I guess a look inside might reveal more).

and it is some cheapy off brand (goldstar?) The remote is a dead ringer, but the front of the unit (where is says "remote sensor", also the disc selector buttons) are spot on as well."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason."

Yeah, I was referring to me.....not sure why I find such things so interesting....made me think the Carver CDP could be better than I thought if Rotel had made it. I do like its sound. And to add to the story, there is a Carver A-350 on the FS listing and it looks very different from my A-360 even though made about the same time.
I'm a former Coloradoan....my kids and ex are out there now....and I'm sitting in 90 degree heat with 90 percent humidity.....
