It's me again!

I finally got my dad all set up, calibrated and rocking, he absolutely loves his new HT. Now my brother in law, who inherited my dad's old HTiB, wants a good AVR to start building his HT as well. (Well, good is relative... ha get it? Relative... never mind.)

His budget is around $100 and is looking for something that will run DD and dts, preferably in 5.1 (I'm pretty sure I could talk him up to $150 or so, if need-be)

Anybody have anything in this price range? He is pushing a tiny little 5.1 HTiB and wouldn't need anything over 40-50 watts per channel.

Let me know if you have anything used in this range... and I'd be eternally grateful.

Thanks!

Probably not a bad starter receiver. I was thinking my father-in-law might be interested in it, since he's got a Panasonic that's on its last legs.

I've got a Yamaha HTR-5790 for sale. It's like new, has box, manual, YPAQ microphone, all accesories intact. I've had it about 2 years. I've always used external amplification except for the rear surround channels. It's a little above your range, as I would want to clear $225 after shipping.

$170 shipped. You have to add it to your cart to see that price.

Can't beat that with a stick. Not much for inputs, and no pre outs. No 5.1 inputs, but a starter thats new... good deal.

PM Joe also. I think he was talking about getting rid of on. (hearingimpared)
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Wow guys... slow it down a bit ;) Which one is a good deal? :D

The link Jcuat posted seems like a pretty good deal. I guess I should have stated, USED (More for the money I believe). Is that Pioneer worth anything for a beginner HT?

Face's Onkyo TXSR304 he linked looks to be the best deal, but I think that's a little above what he wanted to pay... I'll double check though.

    Thanks guys!

    I have a HK AVR125 that I'd sell for $100 + shipping if interested.

I think we've settled for the Pioneer locally here... thanks to Jcaut for the head's up!

Everybody else... quality gear but in the end, the bottom dollar won out for my Brother in law! :D Thanks for playing!

    Cheers!
