LsiC?

Well I'm thinking about adding a 2nd LsiC to my HT setup. but what would be the best way to do it without adding a 2nd amp. I would like to run them off the same amp that I have now but would like for it to still see the 4 ohm or an 8 ohm load. I think if I would run them in Parallel it would look like a 2 ohm load at the amp and I don't think 1600 watts would be to good on them. could I run them in series and if so would that drop them to an 8 ohm load?
I could handle that..

Now the next question is how can I do this and still bi wire them? could I just daisy chain them or would I have to wire them at the wall plate in series and them just run them of the wall plate with two bi-wire cables?

I would be nice if I could build a cabinet that would fit all 6 drivers in the same enclosure and utilizes two X-overs but retain the factory look and inside detentions as the LsiC but essentially would be two of them put together in separate enclosures side by side but look to only be one. Has anyone ever tried this?Any cabinet makers here??? I would supply what ever you would need plus. I would send drivers, x-overs Plus the grills... unless you didn't need them.. which would save on shipping.

The reason for the question above is because it sounds like the little center channel that could in a smaller room is struggling in the bigger room now..

I had thought about using the the second pair of Lsi9 that I have for a center channel insted of the LsiC but I've been thinking about using them as a second pair of mains. <---- I have them I might as well use them.. I was going to use them for a 2 channel rig but with all the stuff going on around the house it will be a while before I can buy the gear needed to put the project together.. so all you polk gurus put your thinking caps on!

Thanks!

Shannon

I also realize that this has been asked before but no one had ever said anything about building two LsiC's in one cabinet. Only thing that i seen in the archives was if you run two separate LsiC in the factory cabinets. So lets start the debaiting.....

Also I have read in several other threads that a 6 1/2" driver is better for center channels but but if that is so why did Polk only put the 5 1/4" drivers in the Lsi series and the 6 1/2" in the CSi5's?

Run 2 amps! Series does not work well when it is passing through crossovers. You could sell your center, and build a nice custom center if you are good with wood. The tweeter is a vifa ring radiator. You would need 4 4ohm woofers to match up well. You can PM me if you want to go the DIY route.
