Live Free or Die Hard

I went to see it yesterday. Packed with action and typical of McLane style of blowing up things. It kept me engaged for the duration of the movie. Definitely didn't dissapoint me, just like the rest of the series. The storyline is a stretch, but hey, it's entertainment!
Btw, Winstead (the daughter) is feisty and HOT! Love it!

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I also watched it last night. It is a good die hard movie and you will like it if you liked the prev two.
I am OK with story, was just disappointed with scene involving F35. That thing should have better accuracy then what is shown.
... and I agree, the daughter was hot.-izafar

i saw the movie the other day. one thing I noticed was the lips not syncing with some audio, probably swear words that were cut out.

I saw it tonight and wasn't really too impressed. I thought the whole hacker theme was a little too overdone and just not cool. At least it was a good action flick (minus the F35 scene).
I'd wait for dvd to rent this one. -
The movie True Lies had the same scene in it also with the jet, but it was done to be funny. My HT set-up Panasonic front proj, 120 in ws screen, ATI amp,Integra 9.8 pre-pro, 2 Polk rti150, cp 1000, 4 fx 1000, Pioneer blu-ray 2 SVS sub pb 12-ultra 2, & Paragon popcorn popper. ps 3 Coaster leather HT recliners.

I loved this movie. It had me laughing my A$$ off. Great action Great humor. Hokie F-35 scene was the only dissapointment. I enjoyed it way more than Transformers and would honestly rate it right up there with Nakatomi...
-
Me and my fiance went to see it and we both loved it. Some parts of the movie were unrealistic, but it's a movie. The hacker idea was scary because something like that is a lot more likely to happen than Soviets blowing us up with a dirty bomb or aliens attacking. I liked that Bruce Willis was funny, and even made fun of himself and his character from the other movies. Two thumbs up!

I thought this was a very fun movie. Much better plot than I was expecting and the action was great. For a summer blockbuster - transformers is still the one to beat, but this was worth the admission price.Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)

I laughed harder at this movie than I've laughed at a movie in a long time. The problem? It wasn't a comedy. Holy crap. They took the genre of unbelievable (as in, not believable) action and ran with it boy. Jumping out of a car just in time to have it ramp up a toll booth and knock a helicopter out of the sky? Check. Outrunning a hoverjet that is lobbing missiles at you on a bridge while in a semi tractor trailer? Check. Taking down the entire nation's infrastructure (air traffic, traffic lights, trains, phones, satellite, television) from a single computer terminal? Check. Being able to instantaneously hack into someone's PC, turn their webcam on and face it at them so you can have a video conversation with them? Check. Hiding behind a couch to shield yourself from automatic machine gun fire that is effortlessly ripping through a brick wall behind you? Check.
I could go on for a while. You get the idea.
All that said? Awesome entertaining action flickIf you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
Watched it last night. It was OK. I'd give it a 7/10. The way the bad guy was killed was cool.
It was ridiculously unrealistic -- almost cartoonish. The F-35 scene should have been cut from the film.
I liked the hacker aspects of the movie. Now I know I'll love this, over the top, unrealistic action is my favorite. Of course my BD-P1000 won't play it so I have to wait for yet another FW update. I'm going to rent the SD, which will just plain suck but I really want to see this one.If...

I don't know if I would cut it from the film but it did leave me scratching my head asking ''How the Hell did he get on top of that airplane?'' I had to rewind it and watch it again.Casey

Yeah, and it was kinda silly when he fell 50 feet from the plane onto concrete, and when got to the ground, he took a leisurely stroll to the bad guys hideaway.
I expect over the top, but damn!, that scene reached high atop the stratosphere.

The unrated version rocked! Yep, the whole plot was unrealistic, but very entertaining if you didn't over analyze it. I thought the surround sound was done pretty nicely. There were a couple of explosions that, well, Bruce said it best ......... "that's gonna wake the neighbors"DKG999

I think you are better off watching transformers, at least its listed as sci-fi, interesting i think it had more realistic elements than this last diehard.Chicomorales:)

I just finished it and loved it, best Die Hard since #1. So glad they didn't remove the F-35 scene, that was one of the highlights. That was not nearly as over-the-top as when the asian chick took it with the SUV, you wanna talk unrealistic.
By far one of the best popcorn flicks of the year.If...

Saw this last night and loved it.
As has been mentioned, if you can look at this as over the top entertainment and in no way resembling anything realistic, its a blast!
Definitely as good as the others.
The only things I didnt like that much was the vanilla bad guy. He's so bland that you really dont even notice he's in there. The ending was kind of lackluster as well.
The dude from the Apple/PC commercials was in here too as the sidekick but surprisingly he did really well. He was funny but didnt try to crack a joke in every single scene and was quite believable as somebody scared shitless by what was going on but still had the balls to do what was needed.
Still, overall a great movie for great mindless violence and over the top stunts and action.

Just got done watching this one and loved it. F35 scene didnt bother me too much though I did think" what the hell" is he going to do with the plane. Very good movie, my dual subs gave a stellar performance with all the LFE going on in this title. BD version looked very good and the True HD soundtrack rocked. Higly recommended.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Ridiculous movie. I felt the F35, semi-truck, helicopter, etc. scenes were probably as believable or even more believable than all the hacker stuff they were pulling off. Did he download 500 TBs of info to his laptop?
That being said, I really liked it. Very funny. I laughed out loud a number of times, and the action (while totally unbelievable and Timothy Dalton Bond-esque) was enjoyable.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
