These speaks are cool. I might want them. Super efficient, very little coloration, not too bad in price when used. Never heard them though. Has anyone?

Are these the Avantguard (Sp)? I heard the big ones when I was in Singapore. Driven by some chinese SET little amps. They sounded beautifully

Did you notice anything particular about the sound of the speakers? Those are the new Nano Uno's, the ones I want. Those amps look like they use 300B tubes so they are probably 5 to 10 watts per channel.

That was the first store I was in and didn't stay long, but I do remember that those horns throw out the smoothest mids/highs you can think of, and they filled the room (huge) effortlessly. You should try to get your ears in a pair of these.

Not this year... I'm just looking now so when I see the right deal I'll be ready to jump on it. Can't buy them new, thats for sure.

I've been wanting something really efficient and have been looking for a long time. These are the only thing I've found that looks interesting enough to talk about. I wish I could find a pair to audition.

There's a group of audio nuts from Audiogon that get together once in a while in Cincinnati; there's a get together on July 8th and the host has some trios.....I won't be able to attend because I'll be out of the country, but I will try to get to listen to them sometime in the near future; those must be a pleasure to see/listen.

Computer models have shown that to have a horn loaded speaker without colorations, you need to have a certain bellmouth taper rate, and also it needs to be perfectly round.

These guys make some of the best horn loaded speakers around. They are going to have little coloration compared to "box" horns like JBL or Klipsch.
