A mono amp with 2 subs?

I am in the process of buying 2 Alpine SWR-1042D, which has a max peak power of 1500 wats, and the rms is 50-500 watts. Now I was told that the Elemental Designs NINe.1 Amplifier, which is a MONO amp, would suply enough power to both these subs, being that the amp supplies 1200 x 1 @ 1Ohm, 900 x 1 @ 2Ohm, 450 x 1 @4Ohm. Is this true, will my subs be able to be powered by this amp nicely?
