Chooseing the appropriate AV-Amp

Hello, I've already decide to buy a pair of RTi10 front speakers. I wonder if you could give me some advice concerning the AV-Amp. First I'm going to make them work as a 2.0 audio system, and once I have save the rest of the money I'm going to upgrade it to a 5.1 system.
So according to your experience which is the appropriate AV-amp I should buy?
Thanks

What do you mean by an "AV-Amp"? Do you mean a receiver or do you mean a separate standalone amplifier? As "AV" usually means "audio/video", I'll assume you mean a receiver since standalone amps don't deal with video.
As no doubt you've heard from us, the RTi10's won't sound their best unless you get a separate amplifier to power them. However, if you don't mind settling for about 85% of their ability, I'd check out a decent H/K receiver, as they tend to have a pretty good amplifier section and should drive them fairly well. More importantly, they have pre-outs which you can later use to buy separate amplifiers and reclaim the final 15% of your speakers!
What's your budget?Lovin that music year after year.

I was thinking about a $1000 AV-receiver? What do you think about the Denon-3807?
