New Source for Woodshed

I got home from vacation and this box was waiting for me with a MF kW SACD player, still had the cleared Customs sticker on the box as is was sent straight from England. After about 25 hours of listening the kW is opening up nicely, enjoying both SACD and RedBook.
Its always fun getting a new piece, gee, seems its been that way since High School.;)
I like the way the kW looks in the rack with BAT-VK31 SE, a little bit better than the MF Tri-Vista it is replacing, but that Tri-Vista was some serious eye candy full of high class bling, the Tri-Vista will be missed, however, I now have a New Favorite.

DJ7,
Yes, when she is ready to rock and roll fully warmed up the feet turn blue, kinda like a few of my old dates!!
The display background is a nice looking shade of blue as well.
BTW enjoyed getting to hear DJ7's rig while on vacation, the Parasound's deliver no doubt and the monster Paradigm sub hits low and deep.

Well I wish she was, but unfortunately I had to turn the unit in to MF to get the kW, they are trading the units plus some cash in lieu of transport repair. I really thought the Tri-Vista would be my last player but you just never know.
I have been listening to the kW most all day as I am off this week, I have to say it does play nice with the BAT gear.
Tony you need to get yourself to the Fest, there is going to be some really nice gear to get your ears on with, -

Ted,I would like nothing better than to get to any of the Fests.Too bad work gets in the way of that this time of year.Maybe if someone has one this winter, that would be my best shot.Have heard alot of MF stuff and it's no bull ****,they sound as good as they look.As much as I like my system,I know the source componants are holding it back,so I keep waiting for a nice piece and then I'll swoop down on it like an Eagle catching a Salmon.Enjoy Ted,that rig gets better and better.CheersHT SYSTEM-

Well, I figure I can't take it with me brother.................just time for me to cut loose a bit, kids are grown, retirement about four years out and all that.
Anyway, I have put 50 hours on the kW and the piece is really a great player, bass is nice, I would say the overall resolution/clarity is better. At first listen the kW seemed a bit forward in the mids but is now relaxing a bit. The whole system is quite detailed but in a very nice clean but smooth kind of way.
I want to get another 150 hours on it and then make a final determination, but it sure seems like a reel keeper for the Shed.
