WTB: Tube Monoblock

I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet, but I'm considering separate amplification for my center channel. Ideally, I'd like to get a tube monoblock, if it can be purchased unpaired. Anyone know of such an amp? I'm guessing I'll need a minimum of 40 watts.
What about using a stereo tube amp and bi-wiring it to the center channel? I'd use a y-connector on the center channel pre-out on my receiver. Will that work or will I blow something up?
I've tried a few SS monos such as Marantz MA500, MA700, and Outlaw M200. They work fine, but I'm looking for something special.
Of course, I'm not trying to spend too much to make this happen. For me, it's not worth doing if it costs more than $500.
Thanks.

I've seen several single monoblocks on ebay in the past. Someone like McAlister could probably make you a single at a reasonable price.
Another thought though, is it bi-amp capable? if so thats a good reason to use a two channel.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want...
