Due to placement constraints as well as budget...constraints, I've narrowed down my search to a pair of Monitor 40's or a pair of RTi4's, to replace an older RM passive sub/sat system.

If some offered you a choice of one of these two models to use as the the left and right channel of a stereo, home theater set up, which would you pick and why.

I have a CS 200 and a PSW 50 currently hooked up to an Onkyo DS595 receiver to accompany the new speakers.

Thanks,
Dan

I have the monitor 40's and love em, but I would rather have the rti series, from what I hear they are better for home theater and have a higher quality finish to them. If you look hard enough you can find rti 6's for roughly the same price as monitor 40's, saw some on ebay not to long ago for about 200.00 new.
