SVS towers
Not sure if this is a double post, but what do you guys think about these? If they sound as good as they look, I will definitely give them a go.

Those look pretty nice....

I was planning on upgrading to RTi12s at some point. Then I saw these new towers from SVS. NOW WHAT I'MA GONNA DO??? lol
They sure do look nice. Not sure if the matching center will fit where I need it to go. Seems a little tall. I'm going to have to get out the measuring tape.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers. Oppo UDP-203 Blu-Ray player, Polk LSiM 705 speakers. Polk Signature S20 speakers. -
I heard they will not be shipping out until sometime in November. Quite a wait.

Hadn't seen this news yet. They look very nice. SVS has not let me down yet.

November is a long time to wait for a $100 savings...I really don't think I could buy something like this unheard....

They look cartoonish. No specs provided. Interesting tweeter, though.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
"God grooves with tubes." -
They'll probably post some specs and charts in a couple of months. This product has been in development for awhile. The want to give fans some concrete assurance that it's not vapor and start the buzz. Ed told me they will be very good.
Combo rig:
Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
PB13Ultra RO
BW Silvers
Oppo BDP-83SE -
They look lousy. I really can't get behind the styling.
That being said, their entry level speaker setup sounded very impressive the one time I heard it. Given their history, at that price I bet they sound very impressive. -
Their newer stylings are cheesey. From the metal grill on the Ultra to this ---
Stick to simple and elegant like before...
I'd give them a try if I were in the market.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
No kidding. I hate that stupid metal grill.

I think these look pretty sweet. There's something that's kind of mid-century radio charm to the curvature blended with modern precision. Fairly large footprint, though, huh?
SVS definitely has the best copywriter in the biz, though. It's hard not to believe every word written on their website, no matter how ra-ra-ra it is for their own products. Of course you toot your own horn on your website, but they're just really good at it!
