My neighbor just complained to me

So I just recently added a lot of stuff to my system like the PS3 (BR), RTI12's and the Onkyo amp.

I've been playing moves in my bonus room for the 2.5 years we lived here with my last setup.

The other night I bought Terminator 2 on BR to test it properly. I set my onkyo to 65 as I usually do for movies (80+ for music I might add) and watched it one evening. It ended at about 11:30PM

I was mowing my yard today and my neighbor "mentioned" to me that they got home that night at about 11PM and could clearly tell that I was watching terminator 2 because it was rattling their house. What I like about that is that our houses are very damn sound proof, I never hear my neighbors in their houses.

Oh I love it!

Can’t wait to get it in the basement with better sound padding and crank it up to 80+

hehehe, my comment to him was "really, I dont even really turn movies up that high" which is true, I could turn them up to 80+ :)

I think I also just got my system balanced real well from advise that I have been getting here on this forum. My Sub is really cranking right now.

Turn it on and then go to his house and hear / feel for yourself.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

Darn good advice. That is what I did in our last place. When we move into the new place (next Tues) I will do the same/ The new place is in the finished basement.

Well, 11:30 is late and probably a by-law violation.

How close are your homes? I've always wondered what my theatre sounds like outside...
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

From wall to wall they are about 20 feet apart. My HT system is in the bonus room upstairs so theres also an entire bedroom between them. My system actually faces East and they are West of my house, meaning my fronts face the opposite way from their house.

Man, you need to move to NH and get a house in the country like I have. 5 acres of land, no one can live across the road from me (all State-owned land on the opposite side), nearest neighbors are a couple football fields away, yada yada yada. Crank it up and see the audiologist in the AM. :D
