Uhmmmm, they've had that deal for about 5 yrs now! Opinions may vary, but they may be one of the best speakers you will buy for that price. Pair them up with a good fast musical sub, relax and enjoy.DKG999

whats with them not telling you how much power you have to run through them? In the faqs it say different people use different amounts of power. Any one have any idea what wattage you'd run through these? I know their 4 ohms2 CHANNEL

how much have you got? They will take a good bit of power, BUT, they are limited on output, so Russ what the hell are you talking about, They will fill a room with sound, but they will not rock the house down. mid to higher 90's is all you will get before the fuse blows. They totally satisfied my needs, but many are left wanting more.

i read that placement is very curcial too... needing to be 3 feet + from any back or side wall.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Magnepans eat up power, but the MMG's can only put out so much volumn before the fuses blow. I owned them, and were great for instrumental music, light classical, and jazz, vocals, but for some hard Jazz rock, Rock, or metal, forget it. My Polks blow them away.

You might like them. Many users cross them over with subs. They have fussy placement, and a small sweet spot, but when they are dialed in just right, they can be impressive. Just not for everyone. I decided I still preferred non planer speakers.
