I don’t know much about newer music (at least in the 2000's) since I’m a child of the 80's and 90's music (stick with my old fav’s now like Rush and their new album) but I tell you what... I had heard that Linkon Park was "emo" so I never listened. I heard them play a song on Saturday Night live a month or so ago and it was the best sounding Rock song I had heard in a long long time. Absolutely love the album and the group. Their new album Minutes to Midnight. I crank my system up to friggen 80 and love the song "What I've Done". It sounds awesome up high! Took me back to the days when a new group and album came out that rocked your orld (for me groups like Def Leppard, Guns-n-roses, Van Halen and even newer stuff like Nirvana, Peal Jam, Bush, STP, etc…

Of course the music selections are usually determined by age.

I think they're getting worse as time goes on, but it's just personal preference. I don't mind them as a band but in all honesty their cd's don't see much play time in my system. Not one of my personal favorites, but I wouldn't go as far as to say they're lame.

I think the sound they have is ok and works well for them but, seems to me that every song has the same sound. Same rock, same beat, same mix, same vocals, just different lyrics and different riffs.

*shrug* the new stuff off M2M sounds good but not much different than their old stuff.

ok...I'm 50 something, but I thought they were the best of the early rock rap groups. I loved every song on Hybrid Theory...the guys in the band have a lot of other interests and music seems like more of a hobby for them....

I like some of the older LP, but the recording is pretty crappy. Its too flat, and bass heavy, and I like bass.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

As an LP fan, I think the newest one completely sucks.

    Is Linkin Park Lame?

I'm not sure about being lame, but I heard they have a hiccup in their gettyup.
