I own a Cambridge Audio Azur 640R...just 35 days old.

So I come home and my family is watching their regular cartoon dvd...so you figure its been on for 1.5 hours - 2 hours.

I then come in and need to do some work so I switch the system over to 2 channel, direct analog...I pop in a CD to pay back ground music as I'm working/studying...After about 5 minutes, I want to hear a little more bass, so I change it over to analog with LFE. And no sound comes out.

So...I begin to run tests from different sources (DVD, Cable, CD)...and the sytem won't play sound at all:confused:

The next day I call the guy I bought it from, and we try to figure out what could be wrong, and maybe send it back for a replacement unit.

Guess what???? The dang things works as normal the next day:confused:

I have mixed feelings about this...glad its working, but trying to figure out if I have a real problem here...Any body have any suggestions?

I would exercise my right to warranty on that sucker.

No telling if the next time it acts up you are out of the coverage time of returning it.

I'm technically outside my 30 day warranty period...so it would be a fight for sure. The other thing is I'm not sure it would be repeatable.

I'm thinking that's it...because it kicked back on the next day as if nothing had gone wrong.

The sales guy said I needed about 4 inches of air space above my AVR to give it adequate cooling...I have about 2 inches. Maybe a small fan to help circulate the air around it would be good.

Well...my new unit just shipped today. I should have it by July 5th. Wildwest Electronics took care of me:cool:

Everybody loves a nice happy ending to a story with a tragic introduction.
