at the bank today with a 78 year old woman.
At one time she was employed to punch cards(the OLD computer systems) for the Polaris and Apollo engineering plans. She was security cleared for 14 years at her job.
Her brother was a flight engineer and was on call 24 hours a day during each mission for the entire operation.
What a different time. And a small glimpse into a life that helped shape the U.S.A. to what it is today. It was wonderful to get to talk to her. I think she "needed" someone to talk to.:(
