New Liviing Room/Surround Sound

Hello All,
I am in the process of building a new home in Houston, Texas and have started to think about the home theater options in the living room. The room is 16'x17', and a two story ceiling. The main wall for the television has a fireplace, and almost necessitates placing plasma over the fireplace. This and some other issues have created the following little problems.....
1. There is no place for my current Polk towers and center speaker. They are five years old, so Im not opposed to new speakers.
2. There are long windows on the right, so the R/L surround would have to be ~10 ft off the ground, on or in the wall.
3. There will most likely be a sofa against the back wall, a chair on the left wall, and another sofa on the right wall. I would think the back surround will also be ~10ft above the ground.
So I was hoping that the forum could sort of digest this and let me know what they think. I was thinking about purchasing a pair of LCi265i's, a LCi-C, and two pair of LC65fx for the surround. Are the in-wall speakers as good as the regular box speakers? Will the high surround locations still be ok? The TV will be above the fireplace, so the front speakers will most likely be slightly elevated as well, does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance,
Raymond

I just built a house and faced the same kind of problems you are having although my towers SRS-SDA and SRS SDA 2.3tis are much older and I am in no hurry at all to get rid of them. I put low voltage outlets in about 25 locations in the house. I then ran flexible PCV pipe from the boxes to the basement. I then put blank plates on the boxes I'm not using. The house is now set up so that I can wire whatever I want at almost location including the master bath at any time with whatever I want and I am not locked into any existing wiring. You might give this plan a bit of thought. I have been very happy going this route.
Good luck, Phil
