I need help finding a good testing program. What I am looking for is something that I can run on a PC to simultaneously do a sound sweep, and record the speakers output levels. Any ideas? Looking for something free, or at least trial.

Thanks Ben

Here is one called Room EQ Wizard. It is primarily meant for measuring the low frequencies for tuning subwoofers to rooms but can do full range measurements. You will need a microphone or use a Radio Shack SPL meter as the mic.http://www.hometheatershack.com/roomeq/
and here is another one but it has a much steeper learning curve.http://www.speakerworkshop.com/

I have the speaker workshop program, but like you said it is fairly step learning curve, and knida tough to setup. I will try the other.

    Thanks Ben

hey ben, there is also a program for measuring you sound cards curve, if your gonna use your pc to do room mesurements you will have to figure out wear your sound card and mic roll off there frequency response and adjust your numbers to get a correct reading. I can't remember the name of the program, but it just does a loop back(audio out directly to audio in) test on your sound card and gives you a graph of what the card is doing as far as frequency response goes.

The range I need to test I am not to worried about my sound card. I have to test from about 1800-7000hz. Thanks Ted
