Hi all,
I am getting this amplifier this afternoon, and looking for your opinion on that. If someone also uses this model, that would be great!
I'm planning to power my mains (RT1000p) with it, and use my AVR as a pre-amp to it.
Also, what would be a good price to pay for this amp? I researched ebay - it looks like ~350 USD is a going rate? Thanks!

A very good choice. Don't pay more than $350 and then it should be in top shape w/ original box and manual. You should notice a difference running your mains from this amp. $350 isn't a great deal but it's reasonable.
Good luck

All right... I got this GFA-5400... What a beast... and I got it for $120!
I wonder what will happen now: CS400 will be driven by AVR, but RT1000p will be driven by this Adcom...Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies

Your doing good! You stole that sucker. It will work great with your mains, and your center being driven by your AVR. Try the mains set to large, and the center set to small, adjust the levels, and you should be done. BTW I had one, and it ran very nicely:)Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

hell of a deal on that amp. I had the 5300 and loved it - imo better than the older bipolar adcom designs. And if you don't know what i'm talking point, just ask Heiney9. He's the Adcom guru 'round here. He's helped me out plenty of times.

I hope I wouldn't need another amp (mono or bridged 2-channel) to drive my center channel now.Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies

I have the GFA5400.. and I paid three times what you did.. way back when. it pumps out alot of heat... so don't freak out about that when you are using it.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
