Just went to a great lineup at a fun Chicago street festival three blocks from my place...it's a blast when you can roll out and see three great indie bands and thousands of drunk people...then stop home for a couple beers and a Club Polk post or two...then head out again. God I love Chicago.

But back to the music: Walkmen were bad ****, as were Smoking Popes, but seen them one too many times. Changes sounded like poo.

The Walkmen are kick-****, indeed. Glad to hear you had a good time.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Thanks ZB. First time I've seen the Walkmen--they had great stage presence with their suits and upright piano and all.
