Not only what kim said..but how are your gains set? If the gains are not set right..you will overdrive the amp easy and it will distort.

hey thomas i bet you 10 bucks i know what the prblem is with this dude...

no distort with the amp and the sub beofre.. now he's got comps --- on the same amp ...

bet ya any money he's running all of it all one bridged ouput or some jacked up way like that.

belive it or not i've seen people do it and then when i call them on it, they look at me like i'm insane and like they are doing it properly and that i msut be smoking the funky ganja for thinking otherwise.

DONT RUN SUBS AND HIGHS OFF THE SAME AMP-- unless you run the sub the rear bridged output of a 4 channel and the highs off the front 2 channel stereo section. you need to use a high pass filter at about 80 - 90 hertz on the front (maybe 100 if you do door installs with heavy bass).. and low pass of 80 - 90 on the rear. if you bridge the rear and run stereo off the front of a 4 channel you should be able to set your front and rear gains identical at like 65% -- this will give you 3 times to power to your subwoofer as you'll be getting to each of the comps... however this is just a rough rough rough estimate -- play around with it.see howit goes.. if you're runnin al this off a 2 channel, buy another amp (so u have one for subs 1 for highs)
