Very cool link. I wonder what the folks at Apple are doing. Their technology is always superior to Microsoft. I expect Apple to beat Microsoft to the market with this kind of stuff.
They said these tables will be for sale at the end of the year in the $5 - $10 K range. I suppose in about 3 - 5 years, "desktop" versions will be available for the average consumer.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Those futuristic movies are getting closer to being reality.
I agree with Early in that I can see Apple bringing this to the home before Microsoft much in the way they did with McIntosh vs. IBM.

If i had to guess I'd say between $5k and $10k exactly as the video said. -
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

It will suck when you get the BSOD and have to reboot your coffe table.

I wanna know when they are going to make a coffee table that actually makes coffee!

Just extend your middle finger, and put it down on the table.(at least that's what I would have mapped as CTRL-ALT-DEL) -
Dang. Man, that is amazing. That kind of interaction...with a computer...instantaneously...that's incredible. I wonder what the specs on it are. I'm sure it has to be FAST with a TON of RAM.
I can't wait for this kind of technology to become more common place!George Grand wrote: »

I'm anxious to see what Apple has in the works. I’m sure they have something already in development designed for the individual consumer as MSoft is targeting the corporate customers first.
I bet MSoft or Apple will have a retail product available by Christmas 08. -

You're probably right. Somehow they've gotta find a way to "flatten" the technology so it can be used as a laptop with a pull-out keyboard. The screen needs to be able to pivot. I don't think consumers would be interested in purchasing a "desk" or coffee table-type apparatus. I would imagine it would require lots of RAM and a minimum of 500 gigabytes of memory or more.
BTW -- If I recall correctly, the iPhone will have some of this stuff in it where you use your fingers instead of a stylus to do all sorts of neat things.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
