    Update from Totem Support:

    Hello Mr. Cooke

We would recommend the Plinius more highly than the Arcam and one of the better combinations out there. The Arcam is adequate/good, but not the absolute best. Your Nad would have more power but not delivered as smoothly or as well in all frequency domains. The Cambridge is a little lower still on the list.
    Best regards

I agreed. I would also recommend Plinius, SimAudio, and Audio Rerearch (tube) after trying YBA, Arcam, Krell, Plinius, Nad, Cary (tube), Audio Research (tube), SimAudio, Rotel, SimAudio, BAT (tube), Pass Lab and Classe on Totem Forest speakers. Believe it or not, I switched ICs and SCs at least 3 times until I found a match for the neutral sound (uncolored).

See if you can get your ear on a pair of Acoustic Zen Adagios while you're there.

I would love to demo those, they ae getting amazing reviews. They were on my list before getting the Gallos.

I'm putting something together for you guys on the subject. I haven't had time to make any meaningful posts today. For now, let me tempt you with this. Mr. Kirk's wife invited me into their lovely home. She guided me upstairs to a bedroom where Bob handed me a Beer and asked me to listen to some tunes with him. Understand. Bob has about 6 listening rooms in his home. Each time I was escorted to a new sonic den, we pretty much repeated the same scenario as when I first walked in the door. As you can imagine, by the time I actually left the house, I was feeling excellent. And EXCELLENT, my friends, is how I describe my experience @ Archive Audio.

    FULL REPORT COMING SOON

Sorry . . . hopping on a plane to Manchester, England. I will finish this on the flight. I hate adult responsiblities. Ugh.
