Need help selecting a new center speaker
Good morning everyone,
I'm in need of a little advice on selecting a new center speaker for my system.
I have the T90e Euro (Monitor 60's) for my fronts and Monitor 30's for the surrounds. My current center is an RM202. I initially selected that center due to size constraints, but it is not providing the impact that i'd like. My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V2500.
The center speaker listed as being a match for the Monitor 60's is the CS2. My question is, should I purchase the CS2 or would a newer and better speaker, such as the LSiC, work for me? I do want it to voice-match the rest of the system.
Thanks a bunch.
tim

the LSiC would not match your other speakers.... go for the CS2 or CSi5PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
CS2 is supposedly the right "match." However, for a while I ran a CSi3, and, through a separate amp (might have been the reason) sounded as good as or better than the CS2 I have running off my AVR.
The CS2 is the best "match" so I ended up getting it and selling my csi3.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Thanks for the replies guys.
I tried the CSi3 and it was definitely an improvement over my RM202, but not quite as much of an improvement as I was hoping for.
Since the LSiC will not work, my current options seem to be the CS2 or the CSi5. Any thoughts on which of these two would be better for my system?
Thanks,

I'm going to latch onto this thread, not to hijack, but to also ask about a center channel for the T90e. I bit on one of the deals on polk direct which was a CSiA4. Got it for a screaming deal compared to the list for the CS20 that I had been considering. Is this speaker sort of on the fringe of the same line as the T90e? I figured with the lower freq. of the T90e, the CSi would be a little bump in quality, for even less than what I was told went with the T90 (CS20). I'm also considering the TSi 200 for surround.
All this will be pushed by a Pioneer 82-TXs -
hi. I see the thread is old but I too have a Center Channel question. just picked up a pair of T90e for the front and have a question on whether the CS-10 center channel is a good match. The reason I'm considering the CS10 is the slight difference in size to fit better under or in front of the TV without blocking the screen. Otherwise I'd rather do with CS20 as being the best match. Please advise on whether or not i'll see a noticiable difference between the CS10/20. Also what are my mounting options for the CS20 on a 50 Panasonic Plasma since it can't fit in front or in the stand its currently on, or on the floor. Thanks...
