Biamp: 40ish foot, run speaker wire or RCA?

Err... I ment PreAmp... not BiAmp.

So here is my question. When my theater/basement is done, my rears will be about 25 feet back (end of the room). I already ran speaker wire in the walls (unfinished still). My plan is to actually preamp the rears (so that I can also use it as a "b"). So...

Should I put the amp in the front and keep the 40 feet of speakerwire to the rear or should I run the RCA cables 40 feet to the rear and set the amp back there next to the speakers?

can an RCA be 40 foot long ok?

Seems to me like I’m gonna lose a lot of signal on the speaker wire.
