what is the best floor standing speakers for $800-$1000

    I was looking at the Aperion Intimus 533-PT. There a little over 1k though.

    The Polk LSi15s are pretty good. However they may be stretching the budget a bit, you might have to purchase them used.

    Otherwise IMO the best floorstanding speakers for $1000 would be the Definitive Technology BP10B. Just my opinion.

    LSI9's on a stand;)
    Keep in mind they are 4ohms, and need an amp.
    Or go vintage, and look for some SDA's

    i am a big fan of the paradigm studio 20's. they are small they look good and have a great all around sound. just my opinion.

    Buy used and you can get double the speaker of new.
