Thanks guys. First off, the Voice center is one bad sombitch. It's almost a Studio on it's side. the timbre match is spot on. No need for a sub when I'm listening to 2 channel. these have plenty of good clean bass. But I have been checking out the Revel subs. But, I am already noticing faults in other parts of my system. In order of importance. Better room treatment. A better cd player/2 channel pre. Power amp. Wires/ic's.
Now, I can handle the room issues, but I sure need help with a cd player. I'm thinking used at the 'gon. Maybe around a grand or so. Maybe more if it's worth the extra $. My $150 Sony megachanger must be replaced. I've been checking out plenty of cdp but there is alot to choose from. Also, how much of a difference would a 2 channel preamp sound, compared to my Rotel 1068 prepro? I should start new threads on these topics, but I'm on a roll..

Are you looking to go straight 2ch., or run both in the same system?

As far a a CDP goes, there are many good options out there for a grand....I would check out Jolida, Rega, Rotel, god there are so many.....

I guess I should have been a little more clearer. I'm thinking of integrating 2 channel with HT. I would like to get a 2 channel pre with a HT passthrough.

I would get some dedicated 2-channel components to run the Revel's. Many good pre's have HT bypass so you can integrate them into your current HT setup.

Great looking speakers!!! What did they replace?

If you mean price, the MSRP for the entire speaker system is a little under $30,000. I got them for much less though.

Andy. The Studios do require some good amplification to really make them sing. But I am suprised how good they sound with just the rotel RB1070 running them. They are 87db speakers. So they really like alot of power. They replaced my all Polk setup. But I still love my Polks. I'll try to get a few more pics.

Revels are nice speakers. A local dealer had a pair similar to those that a customer traded in for a pair of B&W 800D's. He was using a Mark Levinson amp with them. I did not get a chance to demo them in particular.

To do those speakers justice you'll need to spend another "just under $30K" on electronics. I have a friend in Chicago who owns an electronics marketing firm and he has s similar set-up in his basement. He's running the front's (all 3) on (3) Levinson mono's with a Lexicon HT pre, etc. For subs he runs (2) Velodyne DD15's.

Your speakers have way outclassed you gear :) . Damn, I wish I had that problem. :p

I've been waiting for the right speakers to build my system around. I believe these to be the ones. It should be fun shopping for the rest of the gear to accent these. The soundstage is huge, as is the "sweetspot". Not a bad seat in the house. The more I listen, the better they sound.
I'm no expert in reviewing audio gear so I'll leave it at that. Hard for me to write down what I hear.;) I did take a pic of the Studio with the grill off (not an easy task). Because I needed to give them a good cleaning.
