I have a Yamaha RX-V 757 7.1 channel, set up as 5.1. My question is can i bi amp the the two front speakers into one of the other channels that are not being used. Or do i need a separate amp for the fronts.
set up:
mains RTI10
center CSI5
surround FXI 3
sub Velodyne DPS12

Welcome to the forum. I am not quite sure that I completely understand what you are asking, but I would consider it a bad idea to try to bi-amp using a receiver...It really isn't bi-amping is it, being that all of the channels are using the same amp inside the receiver? If you are looking for more power to push those RTi10s, I would suggest a separate amp.....Adcom, Sunfire, Nad, Carver.....There are so many possibilities.....What would your price range be if you were to go shopping for a separate amp?

I thought that the receiver had amps running the separate channels, 100 watts x 7 channels... sorry!
My price range would be in the neighborhood of $250 - $400 for a 2 channel or more... (200wpc) -
If you use one of the 2 side or 2 rear outputs then you have to put in 7 channels stereo mode then the other 2 and center channel will play also

It's cool man, you didn't know. There are a lot of amps in that price range, here is one....
