Next week in Tulsa should be interesting to see how this time capsule held up.

Wow. Now that's something! I'd love to attend that.

However, I think they ought to wait at least another 50 years, if not 100. I mean, 1957. Yeah, that's old, that's classic, a lot of great, desirable collectibles from then. However, it's not THAT long ago. If we were to dig it up in 2107, THEN it'd be quite an event, I'd imagine. Something created so much farther back would create much more curiousity.

It was a keep up with the Joneses thought. OKC buried a time capsule in '57 to be opened this year for Oklahoma's Centennial so Tulsa did them one better.

I got a kick out of them putting oil and gas in the hole, thinking that we might be using something different to power our vehicles today.......oh yeah, don't forget the tranquilizers!!!

Just got the word today, they unearthed it to see what they are up against and the tomb and car has filled/covered with 3 foot of muddy water. No telling what the real condition or worth of the car will be.

Looks like a bust to me. I guessed noone planned for sprinkler systems.....

The water was above the tires in the video I saw on my local news. Looked like a car stuck in a river.

Plymouth ended in 2001. I believe the last year they were sold, only the Neon was available.
For about five years prior, they only had 4 cars in the lineup, the Neon, Prowler, Breeze, and the Voyager.

Similar, Christine was a '58 Plymouth Fury, this car was a 57' Belvedere

Well, if nobody followed up with this, it was a rusty mess. What a shame...

It almost seamed that all the chrome and stainless trim would clean up nicely, but the rest of the car looks to be a total loss. I bet it ends up a Barret Jackson and Scottsdale on the chopping block and it fetches a pretty penny but they would have to throw in the Schlitz beer to put it over the top.

I would hope they didn't let the beer get hot, because I would bet it would still be good due to the ground temp being a constant 55 deg. and if they would have thrown it in some ice that could have been one heck of a celebration then. LoL
